PORTFOLIO
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
My Roles & Responsibilities

MEDIA RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
August 2017Â - Current
As an intern with the Colorado Avalanche, I am held to a high level of responsibility and professionalism to complete my duties that include interacting with media members, supervising media availability at all practices and home games, and creating content for the team’s website. I compile daily news clippings from local, national and international media outlets about the team and our organization that are sent out to staff, coaches and executives. On home game days, I create the press box seating chart and set up the press box, as well as record and transcribe quotes from players on both teams postgame. For the website, I write game previews, Q & A's, farm reports, feature stories and practice reports, as well as shoot and edit video.

RECRUITMENT INTERN- CSU FOOTBALL
January 2016 - May 2017
As an intern in football recruitment, I had an array of tasks that extended from the office to events. I supplied coaches with information used on a daily basis to make connections with prospects, created customized graphics, and oversaw mailings sent to our recruits. I worked to plan events such as official visits and Junior Days which entailed meals, activities, budgets, invites and transportation. During events, I worked as part of a team to show the best our program and faculty have to offer recruits and interacted directly with prospects and their families, as well as boosters and members of the community.
PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
December 2016- May 2017
While working with Jane Dvorak, 2017 National Chair of PRSA, I wrote newsletters, feature stories, social media posts, and media pitches for a variety of clients. I was required to complete projects for multiple clients at once and complete all tasks in a timely manner. I worked with journalists at many publications as well as met with clients to place stories, provide interviews and create mutually beneficial relationships. . I took the lead on a campaign for Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric that won gold at 2018 PRSA Gold Picks in Colorado.
